Flood Watch issued June 22 at 3:58PM EDT until June 23 at 6:00AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, including the following area, New Castle, New Jersey, including the following areas, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Northwestern Burlington, Salem, Somerset and Western Monmouth, and southeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks, Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Flash flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates potentially of 1-2 inches per hour are expected across the watch area. At 406 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Fair Haven, moving northeast at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, Sandy Hook Reef, Belmar, Atlantic Highlands, and Fair Haven. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
