Southeastern Hettinger County in southwestern North Dakota... * Until 600 PM MDT. * At 456 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 15 miles north of North Lemmon, or 24 miles northeast of Hettinger, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Mainly rural areas of Southwestern Grant, Western Sioux, East Central Adams and Southeastern Hettinger Counties. High temperatures will range from around 92 to 102 Saturday, 97 to 107 on Sunday, and 95 to 105 on Monday. * WHERE...All of western and central North Dakota including the James River Valley. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Monday night. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight low temperatures will only drop to around 70 degrees, providing little relief from the heat.
