Flood Watch issued July 11 at 10:38AM EDT until July 12 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following counties, in southeast Indiana, Ohio and Switzerland, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Brown, Clermont, Highland, Hocking, Pike, Ross and Scioto. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - One more round of showers and thunderstorms will move across the region today into this evening. A very moist environment will lead to locally heavy rainfall which could lead to flash flooding. People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.

Flood Advisory issued July 11 at 12:00PM EDT until July 11 at 3:00PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The following county, in east central Indiana, Wayne and the following counties, in Ohio, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Highland, Montgomery, Preble, Ross and Warren. * WHEN...Until 300 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At noon EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, Richmond, Xenia, Trotwood, Miamisburg, Springboro, Wilmington, Eaton, Bellbrook, Moraine, Greenfield, Oakwood, West Carrollton, Waynesville, Sabina, Lewisburg, New Paris and West Alexandria. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
