Flood Watch issued July 10 at 1:56AM CDT until July 12 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Up to 3 to 4 inches of additional rainfall is expected through the weekend, with soils already saturated from past recent rain events. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Advisory issued July 10 at 6:18AM CDT until July 10 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Sumner and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 618 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Gallatin, Lebanon, Springfield, Ashland City, Hendersonville, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, White House, Millersville, Greenbrier, Coopertown, Lakewood, Ridgetop, Cross Plains, Joelton, Belinda City, Rural Hill, Pleasant View, Green Hill and Cottontown. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
