Flood Watch issued July 16 at 5:52AM CDT until July 17 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton and Tom Green. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected over portions of West Central Texas today through early Friday evening. A series of upper-level disturbances will interact with an influx of tropical moisture across the region through the next couple of days. High precipitable water values will fuel highly efficient rain- producing storms, with model guidance indicating near- stationary clusters capable of producing 2 to 4 inches of rain per hour. This could lead to storm totals of 2 to 5 inches over the Watch area with isolated areas seeing 7 to 10+ inches. The highest threat is south of a Sweetwater to Brownwood line. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
