Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop by this afternoon and evening today. A very moist airmass and slow storm motions will support a risk for heavy rainfall and flash flooding. particularly in urban, poor drainage, and other flood prone locations. In southeast Virginia, City of Williamsburg, James City, Surry and York. * WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 750 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
